Where to Eat and Drink in SF’s Marina District

9 months ago by stephanie

Undoubtedly one of the most scenic neighborhoods in San Francisco, the Marina District is located to the far north of the city, with breathtaking views of the Golden Gate Bridge from Fort Mason and the Marina Green. Keep reading for some of our favorite places to grab a bite to eat and drink, and get ready to snap pics while you’re at it! Each and every one of these places is totally Instagram-worthy.

The Dorian

You’ll recognize The Dorian for the countless photos you’ve seen your friends post standing in front of the famous red-lipsticked mouth outside. The food and cocktails are incredible, the decor chic and beautiful, and with an overall fun and trendy vibe, The Dorian is a must when you’re in the Marina/Cow Hollow area.

The Brixton

This Marina/Cow Hollow restaurant and lounge is great for large parties. Although the clientele isn’t the most diverse (Marina bros abound here), and it’s definitely pricey, The Brixton is a classy spot with chic decor, great cocktails and yummy New American eats.

Del Mar

If you love the tiki bar concept, Del Mar is an inspired pick for drinking and dancing while you’re in the Marina/Cow Hollow area. This beautifully decorated cocktail bar and lounge has pretty mood lighting, tropical-themed drinks and a delish menu, in addition to just about the best decor of any tiki bar in San Francisco. We mean, they’ve got swings, people!

Palm House

We can’t get enough of Palm House! Here, you can get some serious bang for your buck by ordering one of the fish bowls to share with a group of friends. These babies can be dangerous, as they are delicious, strong, and even come with a cute little rubber ducky. Does it get any cuter than that? This little Hawaiian/Caribbean spot is one of our faves for a reason; it has a fun ambiance and outdoor seating available, with aesthetically pleasing decor and a solid food and drink menu.

The Interval at Long Now

File this one away under super-cool, unique spots to be sure to return to! The Interval at Long Now is part cocktail bar, part cafe, and part museum. Yes, we said museum. With great views, coffee done right, and an incredible cocktail list with out-of-this-world presentation, The Interval has a little something for everyone. There’s even a funky little library inside! Color us obsessed.

Chubby Noodle

Mmm, Chubby Noodle, how we love you so. Another ideal option when you’ve got the “drunchies” — or when nursing a hangover, for that matter — Chubby Noodle is 100% worth the hype, with locations in both the Marina and North Beach. If you really want to get some bang for your buck, take note of the $45 unlimited dimsum and Asian fusion food special. You’re welcome!

Delarosa

You want pizza? Delarosa will give you pizza. Come hungry, because you’ll want to try a little bit of everything at this Roman-style pizzeria, from the classic Margherita pizza and burrata (yes, please!) to the mouthwatering pasta and cocktails.

Belga

This trendy, European-style wine and cocktail bar has a warm and welcoming ambiance, with a gorgeous space featuring both indoor and outdoor seating. Did we mention they have punch bowls?
